Salt and Light Home

You are the salt of the earth. You are the light of the world. Matthew 5:13-16

During the sermon on the mount, Jesus made the statement above. In these words, Jesus declares in two different ways that Christians should have a significant impact in the world: by being the salt of the earth, and the light of the world. Salt is used for flavor, and for preservative. The context shows that light is our good deeds that are seen by all to glorify God.
